Living Out Our Franciscan Life

Living Out Our Franciscan Life

Seeing the face of Christ in all

Culture of Safeguarding and the TSSF Daily Principles

The Daily Principles of the Third Order Society of St Francis are not simply a rule to be followed, but a pattern of life to be inhabited. They offer a gentle, persistent rhythm through which the whole of life becomes a place of formation —shaping how we pray, how we relate, how we exercise power, and how we attend to one another and to God.

In a dispersed community, where members live ordinary lives in diverse contexts, the Principles become a shared language of transformation, holding together intention and practice over time. Lifelong spiritual formation within TSSF is therefore not a programme to be completed, but a continual conversion of heart: a deepening attentiveness to Christ in the everyday, and a growing capacity to live with humility, truthfulness, and care.

Within this, a safeguarding culture is not an additional requirement, but a natural expression of formation itself—an outworking of lives shaped by reverence, accountability, and love that seeks the flourishing and protection of all.
